Title: Sales Events Post by: TheCharlax on December 29, 2020, 09:14:37 AM So for those who have been here for a while, is there a list of seasonal sale events (such as the current 10% off sale, or the previous Black Friday sale)? Just seeing if there are dates I should mark in 2021 for making potential purchases.
Title: Re: Sales Events Post by: DarthProdigal on December 29, 2020, 09:49:45 AM I haven't been legacy enough to see tons of raffles come and go, just 2 or 3 with some good sales mixed in near the holidays too.
Here are some dates I pulled from browsing the "Ultrasabers Discussion, Announcements" section since it holds all the info they post on these raffles: Spring: April 4th-23rd Summer: August 1st-26th OR July 21-aug13th Fall: Nov 1st 19th, 3rd-20th, 3rd-15th Winter: Jan 2nd-31st, 1st-22nd (different dates from different years.) So from the bit of data I sifted through basically check back at beginning of April, August, November, and January and you should be able to make a participating purchase... within the roughly 20 days or so of a window, and of course follow the guidelines to legitimize your entry as well. They also did a Black Friday/Cyber Monday online sale discount, and offered great coupons. There was a big Franken Saber giveaway deal during month of October (lead up to Halloween) and I haven't been present for movie releases but I guess you never know... they tend to model lightsabers after movie/video game inspired ones as well. I don't know if the fanfare heralds discounts or giveaways but it may obviously be worth checking out when these things occur as well. The raffles on the other hand are a quarterly occurrence it would appear. Now I don't know/can't project if COVID will ultimately effect their ability to do so next year or if it did impact overall sales, (but it sure looks like business is booming still) so in true SW fashion the future is unpredictable. But based on the past they seem to be clockwork precise, and generous as heck toward their patrons overall. That's the best I've got for now, if anyone with more tenure weighs in it could prove more helpful for your bigger picture of historical happenings; or you can browse through those posts like I did looking at the "X Raffle is now here" throughout the seasons per year. At the very least it's a baseline, even if they switch things up on occasion. Title: Re: Sales Events Post by: Karmack on December 30, 2020, 03:40:59 PM There's always SOMETHING around May the 4th. For the obvious reason. :-)
Otherwise, as DarthProdigal said, they tend to cycle seasonally. Usually 4 major sales and 3-4 raffles / year Title: Re: Sales Events Post by: Cyclops942 on December 30, 2020, 06:57:13 PM Just make sure you’re on their mailing list, and that you’ve added them to your whitelisted senders, and you’ll be in the know, no problem!

You won't miss a thing that way. To the OP, what most members will do is have a list of sabers/options ready to go and as soon as the sale comes 'round, they jump on it. To be honest, there are seriously enough sales and raffles that it seems like one is constantly ongoing. I find that when there are Frankensabers, the free stuff is "pricey". Meaning the goals to unlock free initiate/gb/mystery box are higher than when there are no Frakensabers at the top. |
