Title: I cannot remove the batter from my new Saber 🤢
Post by: Silversurfer7402 on January 19, 2021, 10:09:00 PM
Hi everyone,

We just got our first saber from ultrasabers and we really like it... However, our battery is low and when I went to take it it out, it would not come out.  I followed the instructions from YT and shook it etc.  But the battery will not come out. Note that I have the Obsidian Lite fonts so there is a speaker in front of the batter case.  Really frustrated.  Has anyone had this issue?  Any suggestions?  Thank you!

Remove the pommel, then fold a towel and place it on the floor then hold the saber firmly and tap it on the towel until the pack comes out .It may take a good whack or two. This is what i did with mine.  Once you have the battery pack out you can take a piece of fine sand paper and go around the edge of the speaker to give it a little room ( be careful not to go to far) so it doesn't do it again. Hope this works for you , this is what I did with mine.

From a similar post in another thread (note that this answer is VERY similar to what MavRick says right above here.  Why?  Because it works, that’s why.

It WILL come out... you just have to convince it.
1. Get a bath towel, fold it into at least six layers, and set it on the floor (preferably a bare, hard floor surface, but carpet will work okay).
2. Remove your pommel.
3. Using both hands, hold your saber by the blade, near the pointy end.
4. Stand right next to that folded towel, facing it.
5. Raise your hands while holding the saber, as high as you can.
6. Bring the saber straight down on the folded towel, with reasonable force.
7. Nothing will have happened, so repeat steps 5 and 6 with increasing force until you see results.

You could try folding a pillow and sitting cross legged. Use both hands to plunge it out. I'm guessing it has a speaker. Don't pull on the speaker. Shake a little bit until about half comes out. If that works don't pull it past the batteries. It's a pain in the ass but will become simpler with time because the cables inside will move to the plunging motion on the pillow a lot easier. Hope it helps.

I couldn't help but ask if since you're the Silver Surfer, did you get your blade in Adegan Silver?

Really couldn't help myself... he was a favorite growing up. Best of luck dislodging that battery safely/effectively.

Yeah, and it’s a shame how poor a job they did on him in that Fantastic Four movie.  And choosing to show Galactus as a giant cloud?

Then again, the Fantastic Four themselves deserve a much better treatment, too.

Yeah. It's among the movies deserving of lockdown in the "never to be spoken of except to avoid recreating such travesties" vault. Like Indiana Jones Ark of the Covenant warehouse... just stowed away for the protection of all our sanity. I don't think the F4 have gotten a "good" movie in more than 20 years. With the poor X-men having some dishonorable mentions as well along the way, peppered with some near-misses. If they had whoever did the Dr Strange movie for Dormamu, or all the work done on Avengers movies with Thanos... I mean seriously, that'd be a game changer. But hindsight and future tech is 20/20.
