Title: "The Arcane Relic"... my curved organic PVC custom complete
Post by: srams on February 17, 2012, 04:03:26 AM
Introducing "The Arcane Relic". This is my first major PVC custom, I created it to look like it was fabricated from the horn of a fictional beast by an ancient Jedi Druid and buried for a thousand years.

Now the moment you have all been waiting for!

Thanks every one, to answer Temples question I used black spraypaint, and (heres a trade secret) used a lightly abrasive dremel attachment, then to yellow it, (super trade secret) used dark yellow sharpie and rubbed it off before it could dry!

I'm not completely satisfied with the emitter i might change it up some.

Also, side not this is probably the most comfortable hilt I've every held!

And yes, its very fanawsomous!

Our Resident Wookiee Kaiden is going to rage!

RAGE!!!!

I WANT ONE OF THESE NOW!!!

That good sir is badass.  I would love to learn how to carve PVC like that, but I'm rather lacking in hand-brain coordination.

Also, if you're thinking about changing the emitter, try "roughing up" the end of it.  Make it look ragged around the blade, as if the blade has burnt back the horn from where you originally had it.

No I didn't drybrush, I spraypainted it solid black then ran a soft abrasive  dremel attachment over it
