Title: raven in SRD Post by: ashtor on March 01, 2012, 03:06:31 AM first off i need to say that all the other post are exactly correct pictures do not do these sabers and colors justice.
pic of the raven ss edition ;D (http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums/ii536/ashtor1/DSC_0006.jpg) most people automatically call this a sith saber when they see the hilt . but in my mind and with others as well my thinking is the most effective weapon is one you never have to use. with its menacing looks alone most beings would think twice before making you activate it . SRD is meant for this hilt :o (http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums/ii536/ashtor1/DSC_0008.jpg) (http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums/ii536/ashtor1/DSC_0012.jpg) i love how the ridges on the hilt feel with its weight if it were smooth i think it would slip out of my hand when doing overhead slashes out of the box i was very impressed with the craftsmanship and it was packed very well. i was thinking when i bout it that i would send it back to have sound added at a later date but i like it with out sound. with looks this menacing a silent arrival of the blade to me is more unsettling. im already thinking about a minor modification im thinking about adding a couple leather strips around the 2nd and 5th rings on the hilt in a teal color . Welcome to the club brother! I also love my SS Raven as a Jedi saber, although I got mine in RGB so I could be Sithy as well. Personally, I think it looks best in Consular Green, but the SRD isn't all that bad either. Just wondering, did you get it with Obsidian or no? Had my wife not called the Raven claws as trash picker/compactor, I would have ordered it. :)
