You get a crapload more color options with LEE filters!

Color discs are a thicker plastic.  They dim the light by a good bit.  The filters are thin sheets that you cut to size.  They will give you a wider range of options.  You can get a set from Apollo designs for free but that swatch book is half the size of the ones from Lee Filters.  neither will really do more than tint the color.  You won't get the same kind of sharp color that comes from having the LED be the appropriate color.  I found a great light blue that makes my saber a more pleasing silver versus the white silver that it is.  If you want a specific color, order that.  I love the silver for itself since it will match my main cosplay.  As I change outfits and accessories I will be able to tint the blade to further match it.
