Saber Forum

  So who else is going? I would love to meet anybody who will be there from the forums.

  I can also make it easier if your on the fence about going.  I have a hotel room I am willing to share for a cut of the bill.  It is a $65 a night hotel about 2 blocks down from the convention center.  There will be me and my room mate for sure and I have two maybes.  The room has two beds and the other one is currently free.  I also have a roll away bed we can pack as well, as we have a cargo van.  In the case of a couple we prefer you not have sex in the room, absolutely no children though.  We won't have more than 6 people total in the room, ok 6 and half lol. 

   

I wish I was going, but I can't. I will take the opportunity to nominate ThreadJack to be the half a person for you though! XD

For serious though, it would be most awesome to see pics and hear tales of meetups like we had at Wondercon! It's too cool to actually get some of the forumites together in one place for a photo. :)

Still hoping to get the Mod Squad (cool rhyme eh?) together for a photo someday...

I don't plan on going, my time off is very limited this year... and I just bought a new car lol.

That's kind of you, Wingmate, and I'd love to go, but I doubt I'll be able to afford it.

Ohhh Orlando huh?  I might actually make that since I am in FL.  Fortunately I have a place to stay near O-town and might be able to work it out.  I will have to give it a month or two before I will know for sure, but if I do I will let you know.

i wish i could go but my costume is no where near ready and i have no vacation time left.

Any one who is going needs to bring their most prized saber, even if you dont go in costume

   Lol by Monday I should have roughly 6 different costume variations to wear.  And of course will be bringing the Ultra Sabers to Celebration.  I need to find a way to carry the blades around as I will have at least four sabers with me all weekend there. 

speaking of Flat Stanley.. Is he on the move Manroon?

I can't make it to Orlando, being that I live in San Diego. But I hear there is a sister celebration for Celebration VI in Orange County. That's like an hour and a half away from me. I might have to see if us SoCal guys can make it.

  I kinda wish it would go back to Indianapolis.  The drive for us wasn't that much longer and it is more centralized.  I worry that it will and up in California and then we would probably stop going.  Although I haven't seen enough about this years to justify the doubled ticket price.  I sure hope there is a drastic increase in stuff being announced in this last month leading up to it.  So far I am disappointed .  Although I did get a spot for the sci-fi speed dating.  Single Geek Girls are to good a chance to pass up. 

I have the time.. but not the money at the moment to travel from Europe to Florida for this :( Would love to though.

I will be there all four days!  I have a timeshare, airfare and car rental all sorted out, and should have plenty of money on hand for souvenirs (or however the hell it's spelled) and whatnot.  I have yet to get an ultra saber still, as I'm still waiting to see what my next paycheck brings my available funds to.  I get paid every other Thursday, so I get paid in two days as it's Tuesday where I am.  If that brings me enougn funds, then I will most definitely be buying my saber of choice that day.  I've decided on the Initiate LE V3, the one with the little gold rings or whatever it is as it is the coolest cheaper side saber that I see.  The other ones before it are OK but not really my style.  It will of course come with sound and a very trusty green blade, simply because I like that color best.  Anyway, back to the question at hand, again, yes I will be there all four days and plan to have a very good time!

I will be there on Saturday with 5 others from my SWTOR guild. 80% of us will be cosplaying and donning our ultra sabers! We're staying at the Embassy Suites. Anyone who wants to take photos together in costume, please feel free to PM me. ^_~ You can get my phone number.

   Hurrah!  I will message ya'll closer to the show.  I just got a new iphone and its a dud.  I wont be able to get it replaced for a few more days.  I will have Saberforum Stanley with me for pictures!
