As promised I'm here to throw up some quick snaps of my new baby as well as a bit of commentary on the side. I thought I'd start off giving a run down of the specs: Archon v2 with the normal pommel with a mid grade blade in Sentinel Yellow with Adegan Silver FoC. A green AV switch with obsidian and chucked in a quick disconnect for good measure.

For those who followed my other thread the Archon was shipped within 3 days of confirmation which was so quick that by the time I realised I forgot to add in a covertec wheel it had already left XD and roughly a week later the UPS guy was at my doorstep with this

For those who are curious with the packaging it comes in a pretty sturdy box and packed with foam peanuts

The saber is wrapped tightly with bubble wrap and here you can see the Trustfire charger and 2 spare batteries which comes bundled with the Li-ion setup and with 2 already in the hilt.

Out of the bubble wrap and I'm immediately enamored by the beauty of the hilt.

The silver is smooth to the touch but not overly shiny, which is good as it doesn't attract as much fingerprints, and the anodizing is topnotch

The pommel is machined perfection besides a few minor scuffles which I'm not fussed about. FYI the anodizing on the grooves are just the flat parts with the slanted sides silver as my picture is a bit misleading.

The only thing I found which marred the overall beauty of the hilt was with the AV switch. For lack of better words the switch is off centered with 1 side sunken lower into the hilt than the other but to be completely honest I don't really care as I have too much fun just looking at it as a whole. The grips are very comfortable as they aren't sharp nor dig into your palm.

Being a bad person I fired up my saber without charging the batteries and closed my blinds and it was bright! The color is less intense than what the pictures lead you to believe but I've heard that an UE blade fixes that. In the previous pics the LED leaned more to orange but after recharging the batteries I took these ones this morning and even with my blinds open we can see that the yellow is more pronounced.

Better shot of the pommel. The sound is LOUD. I made the mistake of putting my ear next to it and it was deafening.

The choke point is my favourite aspect. Not only can you swap it out for the vented pommel, it's elegant and understated at the same time.

My hands aren't particularly small but somewhere around just under medium but I found it easy to wield and I love the heft it has kinda like my preference for oversized tennis rackets

Close up of the blade viewed in sunlight. Yes that picture was taken during the day. Anyone else here that have SY confirm that this is normal for this color as I was under the impression it would be more yellow.

Not much I can say since I usually let my pictures do the talking and I'm not one to slap on a points/grade to my stuff but I can say that I really love it and will cherish it as my first lightsaber. Who knows, might end up as a family heirloom a few generations down the track lawl.

Posted that in the gallery discussion about FO, PO and SY.  It's a near exact match the base of my SY saber.  Pretty close to the same as yours, not quite as red.  In that thread someone posts a more green tuned version they'd received. 

Below is a good representation of how my saber looks towards the tip.  The color changes up the blade pretty noticeably, and looks a bit different from different angles.

Glad you enjoy your new saber though - I'd be interested to see how that silver flash on clash looks with yellow.  ^_^

Nice saber. Kham would love it. Surpised he hasn't tried to rob you of your saber yet. :P Post a video of it in action. ;o I hope to one day get an Obsidian saber and maybe a forum special color too. I was actually thinking of doing an Overlord in Bane's Heart, I have Violet Amethyst chosen already so all I gotta do is request Bane's Heart. I know its awkward for a guy to have a pink-ish saber but eh. Hope you like your Archon V2.

Just threw up a short vid for you guys. Would have love to show some spins but since my bed is smack in the middle of my room it was a bit restrictive and the living room has too many windows. Note that my bed sheet is in a lilac color (Don't ask me why) so the FoC near the bed appeared tinted purple. One of the reasons why I chose silver was because of the similarity to the original trilogy and it pops out enough to differentiate from the blade color. Excuse the angle and the constant panning as I thought some of the colors translated better after refracting off the mirror.

The Silver FoC looks great with the SY, it really is reminiscent of the OT.

I quite like that hilt in SY!  Very nice, although you're right - it looks a bit more orange than my own experience with SY.

Also, that War Machine statue is friggin AWESOME!

Point for the awesome demo video. :) The Archon V2 looks nice in SY seeing the saber in action.

Check out this thread (http://www.saberforum.com/index.php?topic=5793.msg75093#msg75093) if you haven't seen it, for some recent discussion and pics of different 'tunes' of SY as well as the two oranges.  My yellow is very yellow with a hint of green at the tip.

Sweet saber! this is the exact saber I said I would choose if I had to choose ONE ultra saber. Makes me want it even more :P

That saber is simply amazing!! It's almost exactly what I want eventually, except probably no FoC and a standard switch, but then again I want lots of saber XD Anyway, nice pictures, nice video, the flash silver looks pretty awesome!

While we are talking about the awesomeness of this specific saber, I had a dream about it lastnight. No joke. It was one of the best dreams Ive had in a while :D

But then, It soon turned into a nightmare when I looked at my check book lol

The Archon v2 has a very definite light saber look to it although I'm surprised the combination of hilt and color is rather popular  and here I thought I was being a bit different lawl. Now I'm mulling over whether to get a VA MLS unit since I also really want a purple blade or go crazy and get a VA bellicose. For some reason these two hilts seem like they would go well together.

I have a VA Archon V2 and it is my baby :) The hilt is so comfortable and like you, my favorite part is the choke point. Feels great in the hand. Glad you like it! Archon V2's baby!

The choke point really is awesome, I love that about Luke ROTJ styled sabers.  It's just one of those things I prefer in a hilt.

more and more that hilt is starting to grow on me. Im surprised i didnt like it right off the bat, because as a kid i had the luke RotJ saber toy that came out around the same time as the star wars special edition was in theaters. that thing lasted me like 4 years of dueling with the kid across the road that had the vader one.

im always on the site and i never see the other colors to pick and i REALLY want yellow am i missing something here?

you have to request it. you pay for one of the premium colors (AB, SRD, VA) and in the comments section as for SENTINEL YELLOW. it costs another $5 on top of the $5 premium color.
