Title: Thoughts On Star Wars Kinect
Post by: Zren Tobas on April 05, 2012, 02:10:27 AM
So I got me a copy of the game. Its a real work out. Makes me respect the Jedi more and more for what they go through with the training process and real missions. The game is fun. Can be frustrating sometimes. Good graphics. It was weird though, for one of the missions, you oddly use Obi-wan's ROTS saber. :P hen you jump, you actually gotta force yourself to jump like a Jedi, same with the force speed. The speeder bikes are fun. Haven't done the pod racing yet. Anyway, I won't do a big thing on the game. Just wanted to share my thoughts on it so far. I got the 360 version. Anyway, have a nice one.

I'd really like to try it.

While it's no ME3, the motion tracking is really being taken up a notch.

I'm curious if you can have a saber in hand, that would be epic!

I'd try it without a blade first, for the TV's sake. ;D

It should work though, so long as the Kinect can still pick up your movements; saying that I don't think the kinect would track the blade very well, since it focuses on specific movements to act. A hilt in your hand would work but I think think the blade would work.

That just sounds so fun and silly at the same time.

That was my thinking on the subject. I figured the kinect wouldn't register the blade well... I wish though... I'd be doing flourishes like no one's business.

*I HAVES IDEA!!*   how about taking out the blade? and there fore u have a hilt, cant kill your tv, but you are still weilding your custom made fx saber that we all know and love :D plus, it make it more fun to have the hilt in hand, so your not pretending to be holding one....that be intersting..

Honestly, I think it'd be too awkward for me.  I can see force pushes and stuff like that working out pretty cool, but running in place just kills it.

Bringing Gaming to a whole new level. Now I need to buy a treadmill with my Kinect to play games.

I'm all for going on a rampage (RAMPAGE!) in Mos Eisley as a Rancor. However there are not enough  dancing Twillicks to make me wanna shake my groove thing.
