Title: tips Post by: moxzot on February 15, 2011, 06:51:37 AM have you ever thought about screw on tips but i can see it weakening the blades
Title: Re: tips Post by: Ronin on February 17, 2011, 06:40:37 AM That may interfere with the inner foil used to reflect the light out and around the blade, basically dimming the lights further down the blade and taking away from the nice 'even glow' that Ultrasabers have. That, and you'd probably be able to see the threading, which for display is a no no (although personally it's more about combat ability).

I'd read about that happening somewhere on here before it arrived, and so had my trusty superglue and accelerator at the ready. I have had NO problems since. I'd honestly just say pull the tips off when you buy a blade, run a thin line of superglue around the top of the tube wall, spray accelerator on the tip, and pop it back in. Trust me, good superglue will hold forever. lol

Title: Re: tips Post by: Ronin on February 18, 2011, 11:22:54 PM So my brother's UEHG tip flew off in it's first battle aswell, it's kind of lost in the back yard at the moment :C
Title: Re: tips Post by: ThreadJack on February 19, 2011, 02:01:38 AM Gorilla Glue, muthafunyuns... YES! I used Gorilla Glue on one of my blades. Works great! Title: Re: tips Post by: Kaiden Shardsbane on February 19, 2011, 02:26:46 AM I used superglue on a tip, but it broke after about 10 seconds (after it was dry) of sparring time. I used Gorilla glue after that, and now I'm pretty sure that you'd have to break the blade to get the tip off.
Title: Re: tips Post by: moxzot on February 21, 2011, 12:15:46 AM the only question have is doesn't the gorilla glue expand thats my only question before i do it and why dont they glue it with gorilla glue before shipping
Title: Re: tips Post by: Ronin on February 22, 2011, 12:20:52 AM Weird, I thought I responded to this already...
Anyways Ultrasabers does not fabricate their own blades, and they do not have the time to put each blade through a battle-trial, best thing to do is when you purchase your blade spar indoors until it comes off that way it is easier to find than in a grassy field. Title: Re: tips Post by: moxzot on February 22, 2011, 02:15:38 PM well i guess ill gorilla glue it then
