Title: Jedi slummin': Sith undercover. Post by: Darth Nonymous on June 22, 2012, 12:02:42 AM Greetings!
In the spirit of things, I decided to share the "Jedi" costume I'm using for camp. It can also be my "incognito" garb as I plant the seed of destruction.... anyhoot, certainly not as elaborate as some of you folks (of whom I am in awe of) but, it's a start. The Robe is just the Rubies super deluxe Robe. It's costumey but works well. I will be getting a Mystic Robe soon. (http://i.imgur.com/p94ug.jpg) (http://imgur.com/p94ug) (http://i.imgur.com/jdZAZ.jpg) (http://imgur.com/jdZAZ) The shoes are the tabi sneakers I have alluded to in the shoe thread. The top is just my old Shuai Jaio jacket (Judo really) dyed green. I was going to use an obi, but it becomes a bit restrictive. The belt looks good, I think, especially with the overlord hanging there. The kids seem to dig it at least. :P Be Kind. :-\ Title: Re: Jedi slummin': Sith undercover. Nice cosplay. :) The pictures are great but Manny already said what caught my eye at the end. lol I love that you costume is simple but looks great put together. Point for you Master. Title: Re: Jedi slummin': Sith undercover. Post by: Solinus on June 22, 2012, 01:19:19 AM Like everyone else has stated, I really like the look. It gives you a look of mysticism not seen in very many Jedi or Sith characters. You could call it your training garb or informal wear. The tabi sneakers are out of this world and I really like them. I like the tabi shoes overall. I wear mine when I get home, kind of like house slippers.
Point to you Master Nonymous! Oh, and by the way, I think these are the first real pictures we've seen of you! Aside from the videos of course! Title: Re: Jedi slummin': Sith undercover. Title: Re: Jedi slummin': Sith undercover. Post by: Daniel Anteron on June 22, 2012, 12:50:33 PM Be kind? Dude your costume looks slick. It may not have the look of a set of high end expensive costumes, but it's a unique costume that looks good. I like how it looks like you've seen some battles wearing that uniform.. And for something made by rubies that cloak looks good too. Point for you. =)
Title: Re: Jedi slummin': Sith undercover. Post by: Volund Starfire on June 22, 2012, 04:47:46 PM See, too few Jedi realize the kick-donkey-ness of a pair of hakama as part of their robes.

They can turn even regular street clothes into some kicking regal looking garb.Title: Re: Jedi slummin': Sith undercover. Post by: Big Andy on June 22, 2012, 08:39:11 PM It looks way sweet, and I wouldn't change a thing with it. It has almost a "Old Ben" Kenobi feel to it.
Title: Re: Jedi slummin': Sith undercover. Post by: Stephen Strange on June 26, 2012, 11:17:54 AM Though it looks nice... I just read the restrictions on the Rebel Legion who stated in cold hard facts.. no Judo hackets and no visible t-shirts! I gather that the pro cozz players hate those two things.

I just read the restrictions on the Rebel Legion who stated in cold hard facts.. no Judo hackets and no visible t-shirts! I gather that the pro cozz players hate those two things. That's hilarious. They know the Jedi outfits wear are based on Keikogi? And Alec guinness was wearing brown mock turtle! Luckily, I'm not in Rebel Legion. Really, i look for stuff that can be fought in without damaging it. Costume pieces are often too flimsy That I didn't have an Obi on probably diminished the effect a bit. Unless I'm getting a custom piece which I can request gussets and reinforced seems, Martial arts uniforms provide really great clothes that you can look cool in and fight in.
