Post by: Axe_VII on June 25, 2012, 06:18:01 AM
i read that US attended dragon con last year, Ill be there this year and would deffinately purchase a saber (or two is more like it)!!!

i dont own one yet, but definately have my eyes set on the guardian in GB (of course) or the counselor in CG. Obi and Qui gon have always been idols to me  ;)
not to mention the sabers my girlfriend is interested in...

Clever idea, going with the hilts the gf likes.  Good way to get her into the hobby!  Plus you can't go wrong with either of those two, I love my Consular personally.

Typically Ultrasabers has a booth there, but I can't confirm this at the current time (not an employee, so I don't have this kinda inside info).  They usually make an announcement here if they plan to attend any con though.

yeah, check the announcements on this forum often, they do typically say what cons they are going to. I love the guardian, Huge Obi-wan fan here. wish I had one.

Guardian is a great saber, it was my first, and i dont regret it being so in the slightest. Very durable, very very well balanced despite its size.

i searched the forums for "dragon con" and found tons of 2011 stuff, so i would imagine chances are pretty good.
I wonder if buying at the con would be more or less expensive than ordering through their website.

I just consider myself lucky enough to have a nerdy girlfriend that doesnt think lightsabers are stupid. We are working hard on our costumes, we plan on being Argonians from Skyrim!

also, since the guardian has a long and heavy hilt (compared to other ultrasabers from what ive read) what kind of blade would best balance it out? mid grade or heavy, shorter or longer? i would use it mostly for some spinning and light sparring.

The balance with a full length heavy grade is perfect.
