Title: Dominix V3 LE Post by: shyguy3000 on August 03, 2012, 04:15:53 AM Greetings All,
Recently took advantage of the summer sale and got myself a Dominix V3 LE. And just I do a little review for it. ;D The Specs for the Dominix are as followed [Blade LED Color: Blazing Red]- Suits the saber perfectly [Blade Option:Mid Grade]-Wanted to save money beside worse case if I ever do need to use a heavy grade I can a always switch it our with one from my other sabers [Pommel:Regular Solid Pommel]-Didn't get sound for this saber so no need for a vented pommel [Battery Configuration:Li-Ion Setup with BuckPuck (Batteries & Universal Charger Included)] Since getting Li-ion setup with my first sound saber (consular) I have never gone back to the regular setup [Tip::Round Tip (Normal Lead Time)] again just to save money and I can always get a pointed tip later or switch it with a blade that has pointed tip on it. =D Having already own a regular Dominix V3 I was already know about the choke points and like them Anyways here some pics (http://i1198.photobucket.com/albums/aa444/shyguy3000/IMG_1080.jpg) US shipping was still quick as always, Ordered the saber Last friday, Shipped out on my Monday, And it was in my hands wednesday afternoon. (Note I live in So-Cal =P) Packaging was solid as expected. One thing I wanted to note that they include FYI sheet in regards to the batteries and what you should do along (ie charge or change them before using the saber for the first time) with some of their business cards which I thought was kind of new and a good way to inform their newer customers (http://i1198.photobucket.com/albums/aa444/shyguy3000/IMG_1082.jpg) Look like they got updated batch of trustfires (right side is old look) (http://i1198.photobucket.com/albums/aa444/shyguy3000/IMG_1083.jpg) Had a covertec wheel added to the saber using the instrustions found here http://www.ultrasabers.com/help_answer.asp?ID=21#294 (http://www.ultrasabers.com/help_answer.asp?ID=21#294) (http://i1198.photobucket.com/albums/aa444/shyguy3000/IMG_1081.jpg) Pic of the overall look of the saber (http://i1198.photobucket.com/albums/aa444/shyguy3000/IMG_1085.jpg) (http://i1198.photobucket.com/albums/aa444/shyguy3000/IMG_1086.jpg) Also got a blade plug for the saber And yeah I actually going to install sound in the future (going to try a different board) and other custom things, we'll see how it goes =D Title: Re: Dominix V3 LE Post by: Faa-Yal Dragu on August 03, 2012, 08:53:08 AM that is sweet, man. soooo cool. always wondered what the chokes would be like to hold, but never been a massive fan of the look.

Title: Re: Dominix V3 LE Post by: DarthJimmer on May 06, 2013, 06:19:07 PM I know this is an old thread, but this is EXACTLY the order I got, just minus the covertec. I've only seen a total of 4 video reviews and none of them had the color. #1 if you see this, could you take a quick video for me before mine gets here on thursday? haha
Also, to everyone else. I've noticed that it already has a badass emitter that makes the blade go in deeper for better retention, does it have one or two retention screws? Because if it has two that will be so badass. Title: Re: Dominix V3 LE Post by: Zren Tobas on May 07, 2013, 09:08:26 AM @Faa. I have a V3 Aeon and its the same thing and the 2 chokes are pretty nice. So you won't have to worry about anything if you go for one or have already. Lol.
