Title: Help with a Sith Assassin costume
Post by: Ulfgardr on August 09, 2012, 08:47:02 PM
Hello everybody!
I'm going to do some lightsaber combat demos, and I would like to set up a proper sith assassin costume. Any advice, especially for what concerns a possible mask?

thanks!

Ulf

paintball/airsoft masks make great bases for the masks to build upon,  you can use various epoxys and foams to sculpt what you want and then paint it

I am still deciding on a mask for my costume, but I was looking at something like this http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?cPath=30_154&products_id=33824 (http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?cPath=30_154&products_id=33824)

They have many different kinds of masks there.

killic you are in canada, take it from me evike.com is HORRIBLE for customer service and shipping times and whatnot

no one in the airsoft community across canada orders from them

try something from www.shootercbgear.com (http://www.shootercbgear.com) or www.ehobbyasia.com (http://www.ehobbyasia.com)

if you go with ehobby make sure to request postal shipping instead of ups

I've heard good things about http://torontoairsoft.com (http://torontoairsoft.com) as well - no personal experience but friends of mine buy from there.

ive ordered from them before, a Classic army G36c good price, shipped fast, durable, looked great, shot hard and accurate

thing is, most canadian dealers dont have too too much in the way of face protection, other than the brassguard masks of wire mesh (not what you need to make a breather) they really just focus on the guns, and a little bit of accessories.

for the really crazy stuff, that you really can use for a costume, you want to be going to the hong kong retailers, airsoft is a lot more crazy out there

thats why i suggested ehobby and shooter

Thanks for the tips... although since I live in Europe it would be hard to buy something from North America without paying massive import taxes. However, what about, for instance, Lord Vindican's mask? Any good picture of his costume, perchance?

thanks again!
