So, I've been looking at some boots online and realized something... They're expensive!  So I was looking around and found these on amazon

Now, they are technically gladiator sandals, but, I figure I put them on over some black socks and black scrub bottoms and it could make an interesting take on a sith costume, thoughts?

Not bad, not bad. I tend to recommend finding either some old riding boots or otherwise original or replica German boots from WWII. They're surprisingly affordable when they turn up, and look great, if slightly plain. They were something of the standard boot of the OT.

Anytime. Glad to be of help. :) Again, they may be a bit plain, but they're affordable and easy enough to modify. BTW, if you get a pair that's kinda dry and stiff, you can just work on em for a little while with water and a paper towel, and also a little leather oil. You can pick that up for cheap at anyplace that sells shoes.

Some boots can be expensive, but good ones that will keep your feet from agony later will be pretty pricy.  Are these a multiple costume boot, or Star Wars only?

Which reminds me you'll want those German boots on the large side. 2 pairs of socks or a gel insole works wonders for comfort in them. :)

Any suggestions on where to find them? Ebay doesn't have any in my size (US 13 shoe), some companies have measurements of sole length and width and I... am usually 1 or 2 centimeters bigger than their biggest boot both ways lol

I just Googler German wwii boots and several sights came up last time I was looking. I'd search and link but I'm on my phone. Lol

Yeah I actually have the same ones in black.  Definitely a good choice for a cheap pair of boots, I haven't done a lot of sparring in them but I haven't had any problems thus far.  Plus they're tall enough to look normal on me, which is actually pretty tough to find for a guy my height (unless you get some riding boots like Manroon said).

It should be noted any riding boots will be a PAIN to duel in. Wood soles lack traction. lol

This place has great quality pieces and a fairly wide selection and a good choice of inexpensive gear. I linked the boot page specifically. I know they don't have a lot of specific star wars gear, but when you are looking to do a hybrid build or an original Idea, it is something to consider.

I prefer Soviet milsurp dress jackboots. They are not hard to find where I live, are made of high quality leather and look nice.

Those boot-sandals are awesome! Match that with a leather (style) trench coat and the dark side would be all yours!

If I may, http://www.atthefront.com (http://www.atthefront.com) is a WWII re-enactment shop site. I can PERSONALLY vouch for their quality as I have purchased a WWII GI uniform from them. They may seem pricy but after weeks of shopping around they are the best price for the quality you get, which may I add is amazing.
