The blade socket cuts off about 1 1/2-2 inches off of the blade. When used with a 32" blade, the balance point is just above the emitter. It's a great dueling saber! Very nice! I'm a big fan of the Initiate series (especially the V3s), and the dark one looks fantastic with the Emerald Green. Seems very similar to my Jacen style Dark Prophecy, but we all know pics can be deceiving ;) Good taste my man.

I forgot to mention that this color probably looks best in UltraEdge. I got it with a midgrade and it's Emerald Green towards the emitter but it looks more cyan towards the end of the blade. Unfortunately, with moving into my college dorm and stuff, I couldn't bring all of my saber supplies. Since I tend to prefer midgrade, I didn't bring an UE. Oh well, hopefully the reward points from this video will get me a 32" UE!

I got an Initiate v3 in red with the catalyst pommel. Pretty sweet you got the standard pommel too. I didn't get one of those, sadly. So count yourself lucky! And you're right about the catalyst pommel. Definitely adds to the look and feel of the saber. Well done.

When a friend of mine bought his first saber, I bought myself a Dark Shock with Emerald Green. The problem is: those sabers are now at my friend's place and he lives VERY far away. When I ordered, I thought it would be a good idea to have both sabers at his place so we can duel the next time I visit him. Now I'm starting to regret this decision.
