Title: (pic heavy) Nickel Monarch, Guardian and initiate v2 LE mods Post by: Longdong on October 10, 2012, 09:06:20 AM Here is my nickel monarch, guardian and initiate v2 le.
MONARCH: drilled sound vent holes in the main body, drilled holes into the emiter to add a little something. It has been highly polished so the finish is mirror like. Have a look at the reflections in the nickel! It has a VA blade and blue AV switch. GUARDIAN: My favorite saber! already great! just added some sound holes in the main body, then polished the alu parts to bring a bit of sparkle to the hilt. I love the blue blade with red av switch! drilling holes for the sound in the main body really makes the volume much louder! INITIATE V2 LE: red blade, emiter drilled out to let the light through. Emiter is also polished and black O rings added for grip. Made the saber stands out of alu tube, with a threaded rod passing through a alu flat. where the saber rest has been plasti dipped with black rubber to prevent scratching the saber. Cheers, Enjoy! I'm loving the Guardian more and more each time I see it. The nickel playing on the Monarch is amazing, and the holes drilled are great too. Also love the stands! Point too you!

Only been into these sabers for a month or so, it's adictive! Gonna have to slow down before I go broke! To get the sabers so shiny, I have polished them. To polish, first I do it on my bench grinder. It has a polishing wheel attached, and polishing wax sticks. After this I polish by hand with a regular liquid metal polish. Then I clean them with wax and grease remover to get rid of the black gunk and also so you hands don't turn black when using. Words of advice: I been polishing things for a long time, there are many Diferent grands of wheels available to cut at various speeds, you need to pick the right ones for your material as well as the right grade wax! Polishing takes ages so you need heaps of patience! On an object that is plated such as the monarch, you must be very careful not to polish through the nickel! It's on a few micros thick and once it's gone, it's gone! Be very careful! I build rc planes as my other hobby, and have plenty of patience!! Give it a try! Cheers! Title: Re: (pic heavy) Nickel Monarch, Guardian and initiate v2 LE mods Post by: Longdong on October 10, 2012, 07:25:52 PM I also just brought the dark liberator with green av switch and green blade for my brother, but he lives in Italy, so I've not had my hands on it!

Title: Re: (pic heavy) Nickel Monarch, Guardian and initiate v2 LE mods Post by: Master Bluespike74 on October 11, 2012, 11:11:03 AM I echo the sentiments on how beautiful and shiny the sabers are but I am most impressed with your stands. Those looks really great and look quite easy to recreate.
Title: Re: (pic heavy) Nickel Monarch, Guardian and initiate v2 LE mods Post by: Longdong on October 11, 2012, 12:05:23 PM They are very simple to make and don't take long. You don't even need the alu tube at all, you could just put a nut on either side of the upright to hold it. You could also substitute the alu upright for for plastic or wood etc...
Title: Re: (pic heavy) Nickel Monarch, Guardian and initiate v2 LE mods Post by: Abraxus on October 12, 2012, 01:01:40 AM All three are fantastic sabers! But, the Monarch, and the Guardian have been on my "short list" for quite some time, and this just makes me want them even more!
