Ok, so I ordered my first saber yesterday and I'm feeling pretty grand about it. A bellicose in arctic blue with a silver emmitter, bronze button, light up silver av switch and long grooves, with an ultraedge mid grade blade (I heard that the balance point was a little high on the hilt). I have been an avid reader of saberforums for years, waiting for my chance to finally get a saber but planning all along for what I'd get, how it would look, what color, etc. So now that I've bought one and am just waiting for it to come in I have a thought. I want to know what it was like for all you veteran owners, thoughts, feelings, and what you got, for your first saber ever, not just with UA.

My first ever saber was a dark initiate V2 LE in adegan silver. I love that sturdy little guy. After I ordered my saber I went to the window and stared for hours. When the UPS guy hot out of the truck holding a long triangular box I sprinted out the door practically ripped it out of his hand and went back inside. A little rude, but I couldn't help it.

My first was a Prophecy V2, CE, in Fire Orange. I ordered it and a GB Grab Bag at the same time, which turned out to be a Standard Issue V2. I love them both and have logged plenty of hours with them. They're both spending more time on the shelf than not at present, but that's due to personal modifications. The Prophecy has finicky econo sound in it I need to remove to make it duelable again, and the SI has essentially been tricked out into a hero hilt. I CAN fight with it, and sometimes do, but I use it more for show. Before those two, my only sabers had been an MR Ani ROTS, and an MR Vader ANH. The Ani was a bit of a disappointment and was returned to the store for a loose blade. A couple years later, I scored the Vader and it held up alright for awhile, but dueling killed the blade on that one too. The hilt still sits on my shelf. Ahh, fond memories. When my Ultras came... well, we all know the story. I was ecstatic, I was stoked, I was freaking out from the anticipation... and when I opened the box, my mind was BLOWN. And it still is. Every time I light one up, I feel just the same. Every time. This is the weapon of a Jedi Knight. Not as clumsy... or random, as a blaster. An elegant weapon, of a more civilized age. I also occasionally hear Before the dark times... as well. LOL BTW, welcome to the forum, former lurker!

My response was pretty much unrestrained glee. In my case my first was a stunt Aeon, and I adored it from the moment I drew it from the box.
With my Bellicose, which was my first sound-equipped 'sabre, my first reaction was just to drink in the looks - the 'sabre I'd wanted for months, all set up just as I wanted.
Then I fired it up, and my first response to that was 'Wow, it's as loud as everyone says...'.

Didn't "lurk" for long here on the forums before my first purchase. As soon as I found the site I kept talking to my wife about them and my kids... I still am! For Father's Day I requested a saber, and so the Friday before Father's Day I ordered a grab bag, totally random, to leave it to the force. I was checking the status all that next week and it came the following Friday! Quick! Anywho I was already waiting outside in my lawn chair, and when the guy pulled up I raced over to him and snatched it out of his hands ripped the box open and found my new US, first of perceived many, and it was a Liberator V3 VA! Love it! Every time I see it I have to turn it on and swing it around a lil... Coolest thing I've ever received! And point to you orgath8 for joining and for first saber!

My first saber was one of the old PVC sabers(I forget which model, but I think it was either a Dominix or Malice) in Consular Green. I remember ordering it, hoping I didn't get a red one. lol. I didn't care what it was, so long as it was in a Jedi color. I used it as is for about a month, then I decided to repaint it from black to silver. I botched the paint job. lol. Eventually, I wound up ripping the little rubber pommel cap, and the battery pack broke while fighting a tree in my yard. XD. Not having the skills to repair it myself, I sold it to a fellow forumite for $15, who fixed it and turned it into his own creation....

By no means a veteran saber owner but something of a veteran weapon owner (see my post in the welcome forum if you're curious), I'm in the process of making my first purchase now, a dark war glaive with an heavy grade standard blade in sun rider's destiny, while Ultra Sabre's are proud of their delivery time I still expect a LONG wait due to being in England renting an house in a brand new estate that's not included on sat'nav's :-p For the past few years I've been saving my pennies and getting a new weapon each birthday and it's always been the same weather it be one of my NERF guns or one of my deactivated firearms, hours of looking over internet sites at things that are nice and cool and strange until I spot something that more or less takes my breath away, this year I wasn't even looking yet, I actually noticed Ultra Sabres' add on a video game wiki and knew I'd have to have one. I cannot wait to receive my glaive and I really hope you enjoy the short anticipation as long as the long long life of a truly beautiful artifact.
