An issue, I have.

Alright guys, So im big into my saber sparing and need a spot of advice on next saber choice.

So im 5'6", a blackbelt in kendo and so I am pretty handy with a 2 handed saber, or even a hand and a half saber *saber with hilt that can fit 2 hands but is more compact and sports a shorter blade, say 32" instead of 36 on my 2 hand* But I find myself wanting to fight one handed more and more. My current saber arsenal isnt really up to task on that one and need to find a good new saber to roll 1 handed with.

So I have myself a Raven, Catalyst(currently the fave for 1 handed fights due to the choke grip), 2 dark standard issues V2 (great hand and a half sabers but arent light enough for what I want) and an initiate v2( very close to what I want but the balance is to far forward for my taste).

With all that in mind I have been tossing up what might be the next one. Do I just got for a custom job and get a short MHS hilt and choke, the hilt at this point is really just to counter weight the blade without adding too much weight to the whole thing. Or is there a premade saber I could go for. I looked at maybe the initiate V3 as the mhs hilts tend to be wider and a little heavier than their V2 brothers so it should weigh a bit more than my V2 and might be all the off set I need. Or do I go for a Monarch, the look very flashy and still compact compared to the other hilts I have.

Idk, if people have these sabers or do fight only with 1 handed hilts and has recommendations I'd appreciate it.

Master Nero is a one hand dueler and he loves his Dark Prophecy and prior to that, he enjoyed his Consular.  Both are shorter hilts but still have enough room if you want to two hand.

I've found the Overlord holds well with one hand, though I'm a two-hander so I can't speak with authority on the subject. Blue is right on about the Prophecy though. My son owns it and it seems perfect for the job.
