Hello again my fellow saberists. Here is my review of my latest saber staff, the Phantasm Initiate V3 LE. I couldn't be happier with it because it is a breeze to spin and is nearly weightless in the hands. The initiate hilt with the initiate blades gives great control and the Guardian Blue color is absolutely stunning. Now on to the actual review.

Build Quality 10/10
I'm starting to think anything that comes from Ultrasabers is going to be a perfect 10 in terms of build quality. I honestly don't think they could make a product that didn't feel amazing in the hands or that didn't have good quality. The Phantasm Initiate V3 is no exception. Solidly build with a great finish to the overall saber and the LE rings, the hilt is a pleasure to hold and is sure to catch a few looks wherever it goes.

Internals 10/10
Once again the wiring was great out of the box and once again I purchased the Lithium Ion batteries with the Buckpuck setup. This time I wrapped the batteries properly with tape and now they are much easier to get out. No sound for this one, so not much more can be said for this category.

Blades 10/10
I ordered the 24" initiate blades in mid grade UE and they are fantastic to use. Compared to the UEHG blades, they are nearly weightless and give me all the speed I could ever want, whether I'm using it as a staff, as two sabers, as one saber one-handed, or as one saber two-handed. There is absolutely no "light in a tube" effect at all from the blades and the color definitely comes all the way to the edges as one would expect from UE. Add in the Guardian Blue color and you have one very bright and very awesome looking blade.

Blade Strength 10/10
I was hesitant at first about the durability of the mid grade blades, especially the initiate blades, but I must say that they hold up very well. Granted I have not tested them in full combat, but I did beat them around pretty hard against my UEHG blades and they have held up splendidly. I no longer have any worries of whether or not they can take what I throw at them.

Handling 10/10
This category definitely deserves the highest mark I could ever give it. The initiate hilt coupled with the initiate blades is practically weightless in the hands and gives such a smooth experience when wielding it. The two choke points on each hilt are perfectly placed for almost any grip and provide an excellent grip point when doing fast spins. The sabers individually are so light and controllable, they are perfect for any Makashi practitioner.
