Ok everyone, so today for some reason I was dismantling the maul removable blade blade. I was messing around with it, somewhat ok with something breaking because an led was already out
. I then took off the blade and had the led strip attached to the plastic base piece still in the hilt. I put an ultra edge into the end of the hilt with a fraction of an inch to hold it in, and it wasn't wide enough to stay into the hilt securely, and the electronics were not touching and kept popping out . I pressed the blade into the spot that the original was, of course it didn't stay, I wrapped layers of tape around the base of the blade and fit it into the plastic piece in the hilt, then put some tape around the plastic and blade, and then screwed the emitter over it and made some adjustments. And then it came to life! I compared it to my stock rem. blade maul and the blade is fuller and brighter, I then bashed it against my consular to see if it would hold up, no problems and no broken LEDs, so as the title says, this is an unorthodox conversion, also I wish I could post pictures,(I still need pics for my consular review
