Hey guys! I was thinking about for my first Jedi costume to do one based off the styles seen in Star Wars: The Old Republic. I wanted to know if anyone has done one before based on SWTOR. I'm not so much interested in the Ven Zallow or "Armored Jedi" styles (too much metal for my taste). Pics would be great!

Additionally, if anyone knows how to get a SWTOR style saber I'd appreciate it! One styled after the starting Jedi lightsaber or Ven Zallow's.

I can't help but check out Star Wars Kinect. I think their outfits are Old Republic looking. I say an Overlord with an Archon Classic or Manticore high pommel might fit the look too. Sorry I can't help much though. x.x

My costume is based off of a SWTOR robe from the sanctifies caretaker armour (from cartel marketplace), with several other robes in game with same style/pattern. Ill post pics later as I'm at work but there are photos floating around of it.

hmm dunno so much about SW Kinect.... that's set around the time of the prequel movies after all.
lightsabers- the malice and raven are definitely SWTOR styling. If they aren't your taste, it may be a case of mix and matching parts, maybe including some from 'the other guys'. a TOR saber customised to my liking will be somewhere in the books for me later down the track.

As far as SWTOR (and KOTOR) costumes go there are plenty out there ppl have done, especially of face characters like Satele, Revan, Bastila etc. There are plenty of people here on the forum that have TOR styled costumes especially with Sith costumes, and I believe there are multiple Sith acolytes (and their variations).

ok, as promised, some photos of my costume. Forgive the fact that they are from different events and of different (sometimes poor) quality. And sorry to make my answer to your enquiry seem to turn into an opportunity to show off my own costume Tongue

In its current state:

Hood up without sleeves (was too hot):

The rear:

The outer robe spread out on the bed to show off the patterning:

and before you ask, yes the patterning was all done by sewing on individual stripes and pieces, it is not patterned material Tongue and yes it took a long time to do lol!

There's more build info available here:
http://www.saberforum.com/index.php?topic=14701.0

and more here, where I went into more detail about making it at the request of others:
http://www.forum.rebellegion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=56259&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

FYI, this isn't Rebel Legion approvable under current standards (it doesn't fit either the generic Jedi standards or a face character as to my knowledge it isn't on any face character, nor is it an exact replica anyway).

In case you can't tell, this is basically a 'traditional' jedi outfit, but with a sleeveless outer tunic. For RL approval I will be remaking the entire outfit underneath to be fairly normal, then for events where I want to wear my TOR robe it will simply go over the top. Then I made the very TOR-esque outer robe, this was heavily modified from a robe pattern. In essence, TOR stylings tend to be a bit more fitted and less billowy than prequel era and tend to have short sleeved robes. Some of the SWTOR outfits also use cloaks or capes instead of a robe.

Got any more questions, feel free to send me a PM or ask here Smiley

I should add that my brother is working on a SWTOR Jedi Shadow to publicly duel with me at suitable events.

As to sabers, find one in the game that you like, or in the trailers or encyclopaedia. Find a US saber that is a good basis for it, then mod it to get closer. This is exactly what I did with my Sith Acolyte/Eradicator saber, which started out life as a stock War Glaive.

Thanks for the feedback guys!

OrtharRith, I had seen your saber before but was unsure how you modified it. I'm not a fan of the "sith sabers" of SWTOR, here are the two I like best:

For this one its just the single saber

Any suggestions? There is a "other guy" who makes a version of the 1st saber, but I'm not sure if his sabers are good...I hear both good and bad things (im sure you guys know who im talking about).

As far as the costume,  B1ondeange1, I love your robe! Grin I have no skill whatsoever with sewing so I would be pretty much limited to buying a costume. I considered contacting Pindragon about one, but I don't want to waste his time on a inquiry for a costume that I couldn't buy soon and plus I hear they are not doing commissions right now Sad

Looking back at this design, it seems simple enough....

could probably use a hoodie and some simple pants. However I'm sure what I'd use for the body wrap or shin guards. Do you guys have a recommendation for the pants...would like to avoid sweatpants since it is summer...lol

The easiest route with the saber, would be to get one of US's sabers that have MHS compatible pommel and emitter. Then match the emitter and pommel to the image. You'll need to add parts, such as the slide switch - this is exactly what I did with mine.

For Zallow's, I'd start with something like a catalyst or War Glaive and add blade holder 17 and blank pommel short, along with a graflex clamp from TCSS. It won't be an exact match but with some cosmetic work it can be close.

Just a reminder OrtharRrith, other companies that produce sabers aren't to be mentioned by name on the forum, this is a forum provided by Ultrasabers after all. We tend to use 'other guys'  Smiley

My apologies, I made the mistake of assuming (something I tell others not to do!) that because one of the sabers states made with parts from there, that that one was okay. Unfortunately I can not edit my original post, if a moderator can do so for me then that would be great. Again, my apologies.
