I am legend.

As I posted not so long ago I received an Arctic Blue Aeon in a Grab Bag. Since that time I have set myself into giving a unique look, complete with background story!

The first thing that I did when starting this, before anything else, was reason why I wanted to do these to it. I wanted the saber to have a worn look, like it had seen thousands of conflicts but not so much that it was not being used. So I set out to scratch it up a bit using some 220 and 120 grit sandpaper, but instead of physically sanding it I just started smacking the saber with it. I did that because I didn't want the scratches to look uniform but I still wanted it to keep its luster. I also placed #17 o rings in the grooves, but not all of them. I reasoned this by saying to no one in particular that in all of the use it had seen, some of them had broken off and the warrior had not yet replaced them.

The final thing I had decided on was the new name for the saber. I have rechristened it Aeternus, which means eternal in Latin. I picked this name because I wanted to keep something similar to the name it already had while giving it a unique kick of my own.

I must note that I'm not done customizing this yet as my customizations are limited by the amount of money in my wallet. Anyway, time for pictures, though I must apologize for not being able to pick up most of the scratched I have done. Stupid cellphone camera.

Full shot of saber.

Some of the scratching.

The displaced o-rings. These have moved around since I took these pictures.

That's a pretty good start. Looks similar to my(busted) Aeon. Except mine's not scratched up.
