First time post, have some questions!

Hello everyone! After much extensive research, I've decided to build me a lightsaber of my own! Obviously, I want to pick the parts and build my own, but I'm completely new with wiring and soldering and all that.
SO!
What can you, good people of the internet, tell me of lightsaber construction? I've got a "parts list" (which I'll post below), so any feed back/corrections would be very much appreciated! Some friends and I are going to the midnight premier of Episode VII all dressed up as Sith/Jedi, and they all made lightsabers at Disney World. Well, being the idiot that I am, I didn't. Good thing too, otherwise I'd never be looking to show them all up with an Ultra Saber!

War Glaive Emitter
Shock Body
Archon Pommel
Guarded Latch
Li-Ion Battery Holder/Speaker
Modular LED (MLS) Unit
UltraEdge Heavy Dueling Blade
14500 Protected Li-Ion Charger
Obsidian USB Sound board (NOTE: this comes later, after I get some more $$$)

Hey i built my saber using all parts from ultrasabers. If you are going to be building with sound, you want to use a momentary switch instead of latching. You may also want to invest in a resistor or buckpuck
