I am pondering what should be my next saber purchase, and since the standard issuses are missing and Imperial Knights were discontinued, i am trying to decide between a Dark Initiate V2 LE or a Dominix V2 LE in violet amethyst.
at first i convinced myself that a staff and two sabers are better than one. but there is something chivalrous about just wielding one saber at a time. (no offenses to staff and dual wielders).
So looking at te two i chose, theres just one dilemma. Hilt length. I'm fairly short (5'4"), and if i got a Dominix with a 36" blade it'd look kinda big in my hands since my hands are small. i have to settle for a 36" blade in it because any shorter and it would seem that the hilt is majority of the saber itself.
The the dark Initiate is just a tad smaller than my prophecy. and when i consider hlit lengths, i only consider the portion that is grippable. so i cut off an inch in my head. the initiate V2 is just long enough to fit both my hands in it, and i know they are more popular for being short lending to using them with one hand. i would put a 32" blade in it, and i think i would be almost exactly the length of my prophecy with a 32" blade in it.
i guess what i would ask for is anyone's opinion on how each one handles. anyone's preferences or opinions. thank you in advance for any advice.

Regardless of whether or not my LED's work I can tell you that if you want a good grip and feel to your saber without a long hilt. My initiates are prefect especially with shorter blades, they give you a nice little choke point towards the top and the switch never get in your way.

Initiate blades in Ultra Grade. they're very light and when dual wielding they feel like nothing.

really thats how REAL lightsabers should feel. blades are weightless. mid-grade is really growing on me since i'm not smashing things or sparring. on my next purchase as well i'll be getting a spare blade, perhaps a UEMG. not going for the heavy's right away since, well yea, i already said. i guess if i got the Dominix V2 i'd opt for a heavy grade, cause of the extra weight i'd need to hands to control it better.

Yeah with the initiate blades and hilts together the only real weight you feel is the hilt.

Yeah with the initiate blades and hilts together the only real weight you feel is the hilt.
i guess that would remind me of kali sticks/escrima sticks which i have. but i see your setup is optimal for dual wielding. but the info on the grip is helpful

My next purchase will be a second Dark Initiate LE in AS for dual weilding. Im not too bad with my Dominix V2s ,but for the tight and close together spinning I need the shorter hilts. That and 2 Dark Initiate LEs with a Lee Filters "Spring Yellow" will look epic in my workout.

For dual weild i prefer 32" blades , mine are Heavy Ultra Edge , but i would be just as happy with 32" midgrades.
