Been a long time, but using my Initiate LE in costume is kind of seasonal.
So yesterday, I worked my first local Comicon at part of the volunteer staff, plus I was the ONLY staff member whose role also included being in costume. In addition to working the prop weapons check and entry badge checks, I was also a "goodwill" ambassador of sorts as Obi-Wan, walking the line, engaging with the attendees, and walking the exhibit hall for pictures. Pretty sweet deal AND I had the time of my life! There was a LOT of cosplay for a smaller convention (our biggest one is in May - and I am now on staff for that, as well!) Below is a sampling of pictures that were taken of me at work...
The Weapons Check crew, ready to go...

Me with a local Marvel cosplay group

Granddaugher and Grandfather, perhaps?

My Nemesis!

One of the few Sith cosplayers I encountered...

Good Doctor 10, from The Satan Pit!

I said something about the smell of his BAMPF....

One of the vendors, he was actually my comic book supplier for more than a decade!

Definitely NOT my nemesis, took us all day to get together for a picture...

Last Comicon, I ran into Bob Ross, the painter. This time, some old elf who said he was cruising the vendor tables for Christmas gifts...

I had such a great time, I lived a dream of officially walking around and interacting with people as Obi-Wan for an entire day. I'm sure I was stopped for pictures a couple hundred times.
The Comicon group is already working up plans for a presence at multiple theaters on the opening night of Rogue One, and I will be at at least one of them.... Not bad for an old nerd like me....
