I'm just razzin' ya. Regardless of my disappointment with the show's tech shortcomings, if you can actually pull off the prop build, that would be a true achievement. Good luck.
I recommend two independent power supplies. One to drive the proposed motor system and sound boards, housed in the grip. The other housed inside the ring to power the LEDs. This way there would be no wires getting in the way of the spinning movement. Now if you can work in a locking mechanism to align the blades with handle, when the spin motors aren't running, that would be something.
