Exactly. My thought was to see if it could be simplified, with some of the colonial accents being removed to give it a more Jedi look. |

Possibly similar to what you would be looking for, would be Volantes' new Daniel Cross design jacket, also based of AC3 theme. |

That's actually one of my ideas... the hood thing really seems to fit the theme! Either something like this: or this:  Both are from Volante design, they have some excellent stuff there from what I've seen. I'd probably go with some kind of black/grey combo... I love their designs, abut 300 dollars for just a coat is quite steep. :/ |

Have you looked at an Inverness Coat?  Some have sleeves some don't, they come in a variety of fabrics from leather to wool to rayon, depending on your needs. I've even seen some for sale with a hood attached to the mantle. You can probably find them all over the net in all range of prices, but I think without going to a duster style coat, they would be rather robe like. The mantle, especially without sleeves, can cover the arms and you can have a saber concealed within the folds quite well. |

I must find one at a reasonable price now! |

There is the Inverness Cape Coat and Inverness Cloak Cape...I found several...but beyond Barnabus costumes for $55 there were none reasonable or inexpensive that I found  |

I'll work on some more hunting. Gentlemans's Emporium has them, for around $99... but I'll keep looking. Last time I was shopping for one it was summer and they were all over the place... Check with Steampunk folks, as they're definitely a victorian england thing.
