On Deimos, does having the ribcage work decrease the stability of the blade when you put it in?

what sppeds are best for cutting and drilling into the alluminum..?.. i have the dermal 200.. used the low 1500 setting mostly.. was not sure idf the higher setting would cause too much friction.... rather then cut... just wondering
