Drunk Duels!

Alright, so last night, my room mate, his brother, and myself downed a fair bit of alcohol. We then decided to go into the parking lot behind our apartment complex and have lightsaber duels.  The results are as follows...

This video is of my room mate and his brother doing their Sith duel, we used basic broadsword stage combat choreographing techniques.  Forgive the poor video quality, drunk guy + camera phone does not make a masterpiece. 

Neither saber has sound, so that was added in later via editing software.  Once it's done and on youtube, I'll add the second fight of Jedi vs. Sith.

Being drunk and having a duel with an ultrasaber sounds fairly dangerous in my opinion.

Possibly, though in cases when no one gets hurt and we all laugh at the failed attempt videos later, it's just hilarious.

Well of course Its dangerous but still entertaining just glad no Buddy got hurt. Bad nerds bad, bad nerds.now that y'all  have had a tong lashin i spect' y'all Havent learned any thing and will probbly do it again. Just  be safe and continue to record.

Well, having 2 out of 3 of us being experienced stage combat choreographers, it helps a lot in keeping it safe, even drunk.  Also, of course we'll do it again, how else am I going to try out my new saber?

I have to say with you three being drunk that actually turned out to be a pretty sweet little duel. Also great job with the added sound effects.

Lol as a stage choreographer ... I can tell you our favorite style is Drunken Master !

I love drunken master.  I really prefer working with anything that uses improvised weapons, they're just so entertaining, and can be a challenge.

One time we were doing this really low budget more of a favor to a friend self defense video and we were taping a scenario where a person was a drunk aggressor so we felt it was appropriate to go ahead and get wasted ... For realism had to get into the character you know.

That low budget ended being spent a lot on whiskey

That is amazing, and now something I want to do.  Though I may opt for some vodka instead.

This is the second video, Jedi vs. Sith.  This time I'm playing the part of the Jedi with my VA Monarch, which apparently comes out very blue on camera.  Also the more I watch it, the more I think "worst cross ever!"

Once again, all the sound effects are added in, none of us have ordered a saber with sound yet.

yeah that was disappointing at the end...  MAYBE it was a FORCE CROSS !!

Ya, I'm pretty sure there was a lot of not wanting to accidentally hit him in the jaw with the heavy monarch hilt.  Plus, the depth perception of a drunk guy likely didn't help.
