Hi all! I'm looking for a pic of a Prophecy and Manticore side by side, to see width comparisons. Thanks to anyone who can help.

I don't have the sabers, but the Manticore is 1.5 inches, and the Prophecy is 1.45 inches at its thickest point. The prophecy has several choke points, so I think it would feel thinner. Sorry, I don't have any pics. Hope I helped though.

 I don't have a manticore sorry, the choke points on the prophecy feel really nice and are in the perfect positions. I find myself using it as a one hander because of it's length but for someone with smaller hands it would be a great 2h. |

I also have small hands and I find the Prophecy perfectly sized. I've never seen a Manticore in person though, so I can't compare.

I also can't comment on the Manticore, but I second the Prophecy recommendation. The slim and shorter design, which I appreciate as a one handed Makashi stylist, is perfect for folks with smaller hands. Of course, even for larger hands it works - I'm a big dude (6'2") and I use it to great effect.

Both are short but being one piece with a MHS pommel the Prophesy is much better for small hands.

I say go for a Prophecy if you don't want a big saber. I know the Overlord isn't too too big but still. Prophecy would be a better starter saber I think.

Not the clearest picture of them, but AlthaxX is right, the narrower sections of the Prophecy do make for a more comfortable grip - not that the Manticore is uncomfortable, just that the Prophecy is remarkably nice to hold. |
