If you're asking what I think, to listen to the individual sounds on a font you've downloaded. the easiest way would be to download Audacity. Once installed, it wont let you "open" the font sounds as you would a wav or mp3. Instead you have to "import" and then "raw data". Once you do this you will have loaded a clip (let's say power on sound). And then you can decide if that's a sound you would like to use in your saber. Thats the way I do it anyways. Takes me about 10 seconds to get to hear each sound.
That's not bad. I think I'll just stick with trying to find them on youtube for now though. I'm super into Blackstar so I'm not even shopping around now that I actually have the saber.
