I own the following: 1 - Dominix V2 with a Blazing Red led, 1 - Prophecy with a Guardian Blue with a led, and 1- Standard Issue Battle Saber with a Guardian Blue led. The  Dominix V2 is powered by 2 AAA batteries, the Prophecy and Standard Issue Battle Saber are powered by 4 AAA batteries. I have most all led modules (minus Adegan Silver) to swap out colors.

If possible, could I get all three retrofitted to use Li-Ion Battery Option?

With the Dominix V2, am I only able to use the Red led only?

Any help and information would be really appreciated. Thanks.

I personally haven't found any AAA Li-Ion batteries so you'll have to go and get AA battery packs.  If the Dominix is already set up for quick disconnect then it should be ready to go.  If you're planning to add it you might have to add a resistor to it (I'm not a US employee so I don't know the configuration).  If the forum can't get you the answers you require you can email Deep ([email protected]) and he'll help you if he's able.  The problem is that Ultrasabers is not a custom saber company so they might not be able to do the work for you.

Are you looking to switch so you can stop buying batteries?  Or is there another motive?  The more we know, the better we can answer your questions  Wink

Cheers.

In that case you can save yourself even more money by switching to AAA NiMH cells.  The only thing to worry about is that each cell carries a voltage of 1.2 vs alkaline's standard 1.5v, so you'll be slightly under powering the LEDs.  Not bad for them but they might lose a touch of brightness.  Li-Ion batteries come standard in 3.7v cells so if you got two of them (7.4v) you might have to add a resistor to some of the LED modules.  Depends on their forward voltage and yada yada.  If Master Caine gets a minute he might comment here to clear me up.  I'm a fighter, I'm learning the building trade.

Cheers!

The reason I am asking about this is due I am going to put an order for Archon v2 soon with the Li-Ion Battery Option. I would like to have them using all the same the Li-Ion Battery Option if possible.

NiMH would be the cheapest.  But checking the US site I noticed that your current sabers (dominix and Prophecy) do not come with an option for Li-Lon batteries, so I'm thinking that if you still want to go the Li-lon route this might be a job for the COS shop when they open.  If you do decide to email ultrasabers and ask if they can be changed, please let us know what they say.   Thanks

I actually did find a couple of Li-Ion batteries (both AA and AAA), and have tested them out in a couple of sabers, and my overall conclusion is... Don't do it unless you know what you're getting into.

I'm still experimenting with configuration of using the Li-Ions with dead cells so as not to burn out an LED, but I do know that they are very tricky.  I've scared myself a couple times, when I put all 4 into the same saber, it'll pop to a very dead-looking dull shade, and I'll have to take them out immediately and let the saber cool down.  However, even with all 4 connected to a red LED in the RGB setup, it acted the same as normal (pop, cool down, light up).

So yeah, I'd recommend going with the NiHM's instead.  They're a lot cheaper than normal batteries, but don't have all the finicky tricks that come with LI-Ions.

Update: From Deep himself, about Dominix V2 , Prophecy, and Standard Issue Battle Sabers. The battery compartments are too small on all of those sabers for the Li-Ion option. Sad

Oh well.  Tongue
