I wasn't sure about the Green/Orange. I feel like I took a chance and it's good to have some reassurance. I will definitely post a video of it in action so you guys can check it out.
I have already convinced three friends to order their first sabers and I will get them to register on the forum too!
Some people like a subtle difference, and others like a more vibrant and obvious one. I'm a traditionalist. Yellow FoC, similar to the movies. I think yours will be a good combinations of stark colors to make it fairly unique, as that's not a combination I read very often. That's how the addiction begins. I'm willing to bet you've already started thinking of your next one, and you haven't even received this one. Don't feel bad. My first had all the bells and whistles. I justified it to my wife with the thought of I'd only need the one, because it could be anything. Five more sabers later, and I'm eyeing an Electrum Wind, which when it dropped, I preemptively apologized to her. That's just how good they are. P.S. Pay no attention to Corwyn, either. You've picked the right side. |

Welcome Wavves, and congrats, you will love that saber, specially the CG color. Not shore if the blade will be a bit big, since the Prophecy v3 is not very long, is very light weighted and it could turn out a bit unbalanced, but as you sayed you a quite tall and maybe works good for you. If you do feel it unbalanced you could always buy a bigger/longer pommel to replace the vented pommel that comes with the Prophecy, and that way you can add weight on the bottom end to compensate the weight of the longer blade. Well you will find out when you get it and see how it feels in your hands. +1 welcome point.

Someone had mentioned a guide on how to shorten the blade but I'm not the most crafty person in the world. Another pommel might be exactly what I need. Really hoping it is perfect when I get it though.

It just involves a pipe cutter, a knife, some hot glue and a bit of patience. But, then again, you can also buy a full size random grab bag blade for $10.

The pommel will also make your speaker more secure. As Scifidude sayed, you can as always buy another blade, there aren't expensive, specially the grab bag blade. |

Also, a thing to think of is the ratio of blade to hilt. The Prophecy is a shorter hilt, and may look disproportional with a 40".
Just a thought.
Maybe another reason to add a longer pommel...

I finally decided on getting my first saber after a whole 2 days of contemplating, which is forever for me. I went with the Prophecy V3, obsidian lite soudboard, with a 40 inch green blade. I am 6'4 and decided to go with the 40 inch and I'm not sure if I made a good choice. I also added the FOC feature with an orange flash.

Hi. With your CG LED the orange FoC is likely to show up more as deeper yellow with your LITE board. Based upon my personal experience. But it's still really vivid and you should like it. Will be nice to see the combo on your video. |

Welcome to the forum! The Prophecy v3 is a perfect choice for a first saber. The slightly thinner hilt makes it easy to grip and fun to spin!

Greetings Wavves, Welcome to the madhouse  Nice saber you have coming. Look forward to seeing pics of it with those colours. The tracking wait is exiting indeed. Both U sabers & Fedex get things done at maximum speed. I have 2 sabers with Obsidian lite & never had a problem with either(sound advice about the velcro tho). Cookies,Bacon,Yorkshire puddings, caviar, Oysters. You name it we got it . Aint no feast like a Darkside Feast. Have a Sithy point just for the hell of it. nah you will turn eventually no need for throwing points around. |
