Battery Pack problem

I couldn't get the pack off the tube handle, it only goes half way
and couldn't even insert new batteries. I'm afraid that I might
pull the cord off the saber.

The wires to the tube are heat shrinked, so it may make them tight fitting. You can go ahead and pull it out and you'll be just fine. (just don't yank on it)

Thanks,  but it's still out by 2/3 and the battery pack still wont budge.
Is it really okay to pull more?

Shine a light into the hilt and see how much of the wire is left if you feel uneasy. But I will tell you that Ultra doesn't make sabers that don't have wires long enough to pull battery pack out of the the hilt.

One trick I've been using is to slowly twist the battery pack while I re-insert(heh,heh) it back into the hilt.
