I have a AA battery pack, my LED module, the correct switch w/ bezel, and  dark Initiate le v4.

The issue I'm running into on assembly is how to anchor my button down.

It did not come with a nut to hold it in place.

Hi SylakDossiter,

I am no expert but if your switch didn't come with the retaining nut then I believe an M16x1.0 hex nut is what you need. You will probably find them online or at your local hardware/electronics store. And if I'm wrong other members will correct me.

But before you do buy anything: AV switches usually ship with the nut screwed onto the body of the switch and if tightened fully it can look like part of the switch bezel/tophat so I'd just check that you haven't mistaken the nut as part of the switch chassis.(<I hope this doesn't sound patronising it's just a common mistake I've seen).

One final point, some old school installers also get a 16mm drilled washer and place it on the switch before fastening the nut on to even the pressure on the inside of the hilt body.

Hope that helps and hopefully you'll let us know how you get on.

I did have to special order it with help from support. My guess is they removed that nut to place the aluminumium bezel on and the nut was left behind.

My cheap calipers read 15.2mm so that M16 sounds correct! Thanks!

Hi again,

I hope that's the right size - I did look up some switches and nuts but they were from UK based vendors. They did have datasheets with the threading size info on which I checked.

Looking forward to seeing and hearing more on your progress.
