That may interfere with the inner foil used to reflect the light out and around the blade, basically dimming the lights further down the blade and taking away from the nice 'even glow' that Ultrasabers have. That, and you'd probably be able to see the threading, which for display is a no no (although personally it's more about combat ability).

In my first fight, the tip flew off my Ultra Edge heavy grade. I'd read about that happening somewhere on here before it arrived, and so had my trusty superglue and accelerator at the ready. I have had NO problems since. I'd honestly just say pull the tips off when you buy a blade, run a thin line of superglue around the top of the tube wall, spray accelerator on the tip, and pop it back in. Trust me, good superglue will hold forever. lol

I used superglue on a tip, but it broke after about 10 seconds (after it was dry) of sparring time.  I used Gorilla glue after that, and now I'm pretty sure that you'd have to break the blade to get the tip off.

Weird, I thought I responded to this already...

Anyways Ultrasabers does not fabricate their own blades, and they do not have the time to put each blade through a battle-trial, best thing to do is when you purchase your blade spar indoors until it comes off that way it is easier to find than in a grassy field.
