Emperor Skywalker

When I finally get the War Glaives I've been talking about in other threads (DWG with BR and CG QDs) I'm going to start doing my costumes. One I really want to do is Emperor Skywalker. More or less it's what Anakin would have looked like around the time of the Battle of Yavin had the events of the alternate ending in the Episode 3 game taken place. (Anakin defeats Obi and slays Palpitine in cold blood).

I had this idea for a while but never knew how to do it, so the other day I googled "Emperor Skywalker" and I found this picture:

So I'm designing my costume with heavy inspiration from this drawing.


Is there a place I could find or an easy way to make Darth Vader Shoulder Pads and shin guards, without having to buy the $1000 Master Replica costume or Spending close to the same on 501st gear? Or if I make it, it wont look cheap as crap?



(why do I want to use a War Glaive instead of Vader's Saber? Because I just love the War Glaive, its so purdy)

Wow... that picture is just awesome.  Not to mention the idea it invokes - Anakin as a full-powered Sith Lord ruling the galaxy - is VERY impressive, even to a devoted Jedi like me

I'm sure somebody can answer this, if you give it a little time.  Armor is a tricky thing, but you can get ahold of it in a number of ways.  That there actually reminds me of Anakin's armor from the early seasons of The Clone Wars, so if you could get somebody who makes that particular set it would come in handy. 

I'll let you know if I stumble across anything.

Keep your eyes peeled on ebay for good deals on the armor, unless you know how to make it your self that is the best way to do it.



I pieced my Vader costume together over time, proving that you don't have to buy a whole Vader costume all at once. It was a lot cheaper than buying the whole thing.

Nice find I think it looks more like Luke than anakin in my opinion. Here another pic of a concept art of what anakin's ep 3 costume could have been thats similar to the one you have posted.


I also remember they made another version of anakin too and made that one into a toy. Reminds me of Darth Malak.

I thought about doing that. I did look on ebay, But the cheapest Vader Shoulders were close 300, and they were bids that still had like a week to go. I'll keep checking back to see if thats about the going price, or if I can find better.

I REALLY like this. And it really looks just like the picture I found, it just has longer hair, and minus the shoulder pads and shin guards.
I may just start making the costume to that point untill I can find the Armor pieces.

Great idea as a dark character goes  

Wouldn't it feed your soul to consider a Master Skywalker instead?

He overcomes the urges of the dark, confides with Pada, and settles that it will all work out...is one of the three to confront prune face...and saves Mace while delivering the final blow to pruney!

Yes that is a great story!

Haha sounds fun, I'm all for derailing cannon. I GM a D6 Starwars game, and the current Villian who is a fallen party member flew to Mustafar and blew up the ship of the fleeing obi-wan padme and twins, and he went on to kick Anakin the rest of the way into the lava and become palpy's new apprentice.


But there's just something about ruling the galaxy that is so alluring.

theres a armor prop kit on ebay now for a b.i.n. price of $175 but you are going to have to paint it yourself.

In my experience, paint work is not so bad, but then I have yet to tackle something so large. lol

I absolutely LOVE this drawing, and I think a costume based off of it will be amazing! You should definitely post some pictures as you go along! Can't wait to see the finished product!
