Lee Filters Are Fun

Hey guys. Finally found a good shade of blue for my Aeon. Its the Medium Blue filter. I really like it. On camera it looks just like Obi-wan's shade of blue from the pre-quel movies. In person its kind of dark but not too dark. And also anyone can post their favorite Lee Filter colors if you want. so here is my official blue color. So lets have fun with this thread and post any cool colors or color combos. =]

My green. Though I think one is an Apollo filter. I should try a Lee Filter combo. I still like the result though. =] To me its like a leaf or grass green or maybe electric consular green.

Two Lime Green Lee's. Reminds me of Luke's shade of green a bit. =] But still has a nice dark hint to it but not too dark. If I ever upgrade my Aeon to sound I know what font is going on.

Cool. I don't mind. Though in some scenes in ROTJ Luke's saber did seem kind of Lime Green. I think mostly that first scene though. Then on Endor it was mostly forest green. Not sure on the Death Star fight.

So the trick is is to stay within the middle of the color spectrum for each color if you are using an Adegan Silver blade. The darker tones like orange and red purple are best with deeper darker tones. These colors one from the Lee designers edition swatch


Arctic Blue - Peacock Blue HT 115. To me this is the closest to the US colors

Guardian Blue - Sky Blue 068- dark and full

Consular Green - Fern Green HT 122 - it's light and bright

Sentinel Yellow- Oklahoma Yellow 767 - not too green ish as you get with other yellows look for darker yellows to avoid the green tone

Orange - Madge 507 rather dark but really nice full orange a little dim best for new batteries

Red - Bright Red 026 - true Sith red but it's dim but full best for fresh batteries

Violet - Deep Purple 797 or lighter Windu esque - medium purple  both these are awesome

Nice list. For some odd reason an Ultra Edge Heavy Grade blade works best for me for any color. Even Bright Red. Love that color especially on camera. Try Fern and Lee Green together. Gives a nice bright green also. I think Bright Blue is more of a Guardian kind of shade.

Lol I was screwing around just now and I put the Peacock Blue and Oklahoma yellow and it came out with a nice even full green a little too green apple candy green but it looked nice ...

Madge - awesome orange but like the red only really good for about 20 minute or so of constant usage with fresh batteries

Nice. Here is two Lee Bright Blues. Worthy of Master Kenobi. =] I was on the hunt for one but found two of them cut out. Lol. Have separate filters in bags so they don't get mixed up. I need a new book though. Can't find Peacock Blue.
