The Covertec wheel now comes standard on the Archon!
They just made a classic saber even better!

If they put a recharge port on the Archon V2.1, that WILL be my very next saber. I also noticed that the extra length is in the rear of the saber. They still have some pics of the V2 and you can tell extra length near the rear. |

I have a feeling they just haven't updated the order form. If you look at the photos, from the third picture down are photos of the old Archon v2 and you can see the first hilt segment above the pommel is about an inch longer on the v2.1. There should be plenty of room to add a recharge port. The Archon is my only US saber without in-hilt recharge, but I liked it so much I ordered it anyway. I got mine with a black covertec centered up in that first segment. I always get the covertecs...I just think they look cool.

The Archon V1 was my very first US. I was saving toward a V2 when I had my car vandalized at work and after my insurance company paid half of the bill and my employer balked on their half, I had to use those funds and a great deal of my savings to repair my car. I have just recently gotten into the range of affording one when recharge ports became an option. I have broken one battery pack from constant switching of batteries and I really didn't want to have to replace a battery pack in a hilt as compact as an Initiate, Prophecy, or the Archon. That has been my only holding back issue. To this day, my Archon and my Libby are my one hand sabers and my War Glaive and Overlord are my two hand sabers. Aeon is the most versatile in my arsenal but I just cannot forget my first US and therefore my most prized saber. I think it would be very fitting for me to get a newer generation Archon as a reward for my 7 years spent in pursuit of a Black Belt. I hope you are correct Schtuperman. It would make my entire month if this happened. Of course everyone would get quickly tired of how much I would talk about the saber even more so than I talk about the color Blue. |
