Sometimes you just don't want to spring for the addition cost of an AV switch on your new sound saber, but the plain black guarded momentary switch that comes standard is just fugly.

I actually
love the look of the guarded latchers, with their tiny machined aluminum (look?) button facing.
After all these months, it just struck me - I don't suppose you can just pop those puppies off? Sure enough, you can. I swapped out the plain black button on my Obsidian Archon for the silver one from my Aeon stunt. Just need a butter knife or flat head screwdriver. Pop, pop, switch, press, press, done!

(A dab of glue would probably be a wise precaution.)
The only sound saber I have that I prefer the plain black momentary with is my Consu-Lord. It has a nickel emitter, shroud, and pommel so any silver/aluminum would (to me) look odd.
Apologies if this idea was posted deep where my short search couldn't find...

Cheers!
PS So much for being able to ident a saber as sound or stunt by the colour of the guarded switch!
