Yeah the 0.6 second setting is a bit of a weird one. I have a camera similar to yours and I couldn't stand it after a while because it felt so slow when changing settings and I didn't like a lot of the limitations of it, so I had to upgrade to a semi-professional one. The one I bought first was a Kodak Z990, which was a good learning camera that taught me how the settings worked with each other. I think I paid around $170 for it. After a while though I upgraded to a Nikon D7000 with an 18-200mm lens, which ran me about $1400, but it's a lot faster and feels MUCH nicer to use. The quality of pictures I can take is better and there is a higher range of settings to work with, so it's more versatile. And it's good for when I want to shoot video for reviews and such. If you ever have the extra money to throw around, it really is worth it to upgrade to a nicer camera, preferably one with an interchangeable lens. For the most part though, a lot of the shots you've taken with the one you have have come out pretty well. I especially like the shot you used for your signature because it shows just enough of that white core to look like a real saber.

What about just the camera alone? Wouldn't mind getting one myself. Probably 600 dollar or more range. Lol. I found a nice green for my Dominix by the way so I'll see what I can do with that. probably the same setting though. then I turned my Aeon back to the forest green. I just love that shade of green. or maybe leaf green even. Can't really tell. I'll do a regular setting for both greens.

Well when I was picking out a camera, I did a lot of research on different ones I was looking at at the time. It eventually came down to either a Nikon D7000 or a Canon Rebel T4i. I chose the Nikon because Nikons tend to have better picture quality and the one I chose had certain features I wanted more. However, the T4i is around the $600 mark with a standard kit lens, which is 18-55mm and is still a great camera. It would definitely blow the one you have out of the water. Canons are really good for video as well and are slightly better at it than Nikons. Of course there are other brands out there like Sony, Panasonic, Sigma, etc. If you are serious about buying a nicer camera, I would do some searches on different camera models and see what they have to offer. Ask yourself what kind of features you might value more (better pictures quality, faster shooting speed, better video quality, ease of use, etc.) and pick one that appeals to you. A good thing I would suggest would be to narrow your choices down to two or three different cameras, then watch some reviews of each camera on Youtube to see what other people think of them. That way you'll have some knowledge of what you'll be getting beforehand so you won't be disappointed with it, as well as a basic understanding of how to use it once you get it. Typically anything you get for around $500 - $1500 will be good quality and pretty reliable. It just depends what brand you want to go with and what features you're after.

And I just realized I completely forgot to answer your question lol. Sorry I get carried away at times. You can either buy a camera as a kit, which typically comes with the camera body and a lens, or you can buy just the camera body itself. If you buy the body itself, it will be cheaper, but you'll still end up having to buy a lens to be able to use it. I would suggest buying a basic kit, which will usually come with the body and a basic lens (typically an 18-55mm). Some sites like Buy.com or Amazon.com sell Deluxe kits or Starter kits which come with the camera body, a lens, some cleaning/maintenance supplies, and sometimes a bag and/or filters for the lens. These kits usually cost more and are geared more for those looking to take up photography as a hobby. If you just want the essentials though, a basic kit with the body and a standard 18-55mm lens will cost you around $500 - $800 depending on the brand and model. The Canon T4i I mentioned has a kit version at Best Buy for around $600 I believe, maybe less. Again, if you're serious about buying a new one, it pays to do some research first to find out what you want and how much you're willing to invest. If you get a quality camera, it may cost you more, but it will last a good long while.

I will see about that kit. Seems like a steal for that price range. Then I could sell my old camera to get the other needed parts or more sabers. Lol. Oh and spinning update. I can finally do the flourish spins. I just wasn't moving my elbow back enough to get the saber to spin near my back. But I can finally do it. Cheesy  I just don't really have a big enough room to go all boss mode about it though so I'll have to train outside some. Its a fun move to do though either way. Only thing I'm really having trouble with still is moving the saber forward after doing the back spins.

It'll come with practice. I wasn't able to do all the flourishes the first time either and I had to practice to get the Obi-Ani one down. Practicing outside really does help a lot though. I tried practicing in my garage full of stuff once and I kept smacking into things, so having room to swing makes it a lot easier and less frustrating to learn. When you get really good at it and you really want to test yourself, try doing the same flourish with a staff. It's a completely different (and sometimes humbling) experience.
