Dark side points

« on: July 01, 2013, 03:36:52 PM »

Found a sink drain at Home Depot.  My first thought was ''Wow! That looks like a lightsaber!''  So I picked up a cheap flashlight, a random PVC part that looks like a pommel, and some gloss black Krylon spray paint.  This was the end result.

I did some weathering on the hilt.  It has no electronics in it right now and due to lack of cash it probably never will, but it looks cool on my belt.

I left the emitter silver because I thought it looked better that way.  I also took some sandpaper to it.

I really like the windows.

Here is a shot of the button from the flashlight.  I just shoved it in the hole and it fit.

Sink tube Saber!
I just started one myself, actually intend to add electronics and sound, have a Hasbro ultimate fx board from a vader that was on clearance (free blade plugs as a bonus!)
