Finally finished weathering my copper Manticore. I ordered it with SY, but was never satisfied with the way the LED projected a strong green at the base of the blade. So I used Lee filters to both shift the blade color and diffuse the light to be more even. I can tint the blade a nice bright, almost margarita-colored green, a brilliant red, or two shades of orange. I keep coming back to the brighter of the two oranges, though, and it's pictured here. It's also the orange I haven't come up with a name for; it's probably pretty close to Fire Orange. The darker orange I call "lava orange," as it's a really deep but still vivid color. Anyway, the blade in the dark and the blade and hilt in the light.   |

Thats amazing! Funny because I actually just saw your first post of this hilt like 2 minutes before I clicked this thread and was surprised to this same saber again! Looks very nice with the slight weathering and with the Orange blade!!

Its a nice creative choice Thanks hazard! I really like the Pyrestone Orange and the Guardian is a really nice saber. As for the video, it was on my fourth try, lol. I'm not good at all doing things like that. Now I need to start working on a costume. |
