Hey, I wanted to order a new saber, and I'm currently leaning towards Raven with an RGB color option and Obsidian Sound Board.
What's the advantage of getting Li-Ion setup in this kind of saber?

Thanks in advance.

A lot of people say that the Li-Ion batteries produce a better/brighter color. Plus having rechargeable batteries saves you quite a bit of money!

Yeah, I'm a little nervous about that for my pyrestone sabers.  Right out of the charger they are pretty golden - it takes a good 5 minutes or so to settle into an orange, then another 10 for the red to fully mix in.  I'm kind of afraid the li-ion setup is going to keep me at yellow for 30 min before dropping back into the Pyrestone I love so dearly!

Has anyone had experience with this? Ultra?

No prob! I have heard they last longer too...I actually haven't used those kind of batteries yet. But I think I'm getting the Li-Ion setup on the Bane I'm gonna order!  Grin

Li-Ions last longer
They don't slowly fade...they just cut out when they die.

All in all, they are the top choice for saberbuilders these days.

Thanks folks, it was really enlightening Smiley
By the way, can anyone tell what's the current in Raven RGB Li-Ion setup with Obsidian SB? As I've heard 7.2V produce the best (i.e. "brightest") result, is that true?

You don't want to use 7.2V for the Obsidian Board unless you are running a 10W LEDengine. 3.7 V will work just fine.
