A video and text review of my Bellicose in AB with AS FoC.
Hilt: This saber was a first place prize in the first summer raffle, I'm just now finally getting the review done for it. The hilt is very impressive, it has a nice slanted emitter which really appeals to me. I also like the pommel, it fits the saber and the use of black and silver on the pommel, and the hilt as a whole, is really well done. The Bellicose is also very customizable. I have a chrome fake button on mine, and the blade holder is black (instead of silver). The AV switch is blue which is close to the blade color. There were a few scratches on the hilt when it arrived but not many (I've added several more dueling with it, so it has a bit of a weathered look now.)
The saber feels fantastic! The covertec wheel is on the right side of the AV switch, which is where I prefer to have it so it doesn't get in the way of my left hand like it does on my Archon. I find the saber to be very comfortable, easily to spin, fun to duel with. The Bellicose is also very versatile, and unlike some other sabers, seems to go well with any blade color.
Blade: The saber came in AB with AS FoC. It is my only saber with FoC. I find that AB is a really nice color similar to Luke's saber in ESB. I prefer GB to AB, still AB is one of my favorite blade colors. Since this was a prize saber, the features I got were random, but I am happy to say that I'm glad my FoC color was AS, it is the color I would have chosen, Emory reading my mind again I think. Originally it had a 36" blade but I have found out that I prefer 32" blades on my sabers and now keep a 32" Ultra Edge mid grade blade on it.
Sound: As always the saber sounds great! The sound is loud and clear, with no static. Unlike my other sound sabers where I use the default Obsidian sound fonts, I have Ninja-Jesus' ROTJ Luke sound fonts on this saber. They fit it really well.
Summery: The Bellicose is a fantastic saber, with a nice range of options and seems to fit any blade color. I'm grateful to US for sending it as my first place prize in the first summer raffle! I originally only gave this saber a 70/100, that was a big disservice to the saber. It was mainly due to having a 36" blade on it at the time where as my other sabers had shorter blades. I now give this saber a well deserved
93/100!
