‘Batman vs. Superman’ Delayed to 2016; Up Against Unannounced Marvel Movie

I just don't think I enjoy characters that don't take a lot of damage.  Not a fan of Wolverine... Not a fan of Hulk... Superman...etc the god like aspect is just annoying to me.  I prefer characters like Batman for DC, The Punisher for Marvel etc more or less the street level of justice and not the high flying world saving god complex mutants/ aliens etc

I understand. It's like chocolate for me: just not your thing. I'm sorry I couldn't help you enjoy godlike characters more.

In the mean time though, which Batman is your favorite? Adam West, Nolan, Burton, DCAU, etc.?

I haven't really been following the discussion, but I'd just like to say...

Superman's Mary Sue-like powers are, ironically, the reason why I like him. Superman is pretty much a God who has a more... direct approach... in dealing with the baddies of the world. He is a lover and a protector. A true man of steel. The person that all the little guys are supposed to look to in times of trouble because he's so damn-near perfect in both his portrayal and abilities that we can see no wrong, and thus we find comfort in our reliance on him. We trust in him. That's why he is "above the rest", because if he was a regular guy in spandex, or a meta-human with just one or two simple powers, we wouldn't feel like he's "all there", you know what I mean? And if he isn't "all there" he would be just another hero. But he's not. He's practically a God to us. And Gods make us feel safe because they aren't us; they are beings higher than us without the same flaws. Guys in spandex and lower-tier meta-humans are not the same thing. And by that, I mean... in the same department as Superman. Not saying they aren't as good as him, because they can be, just for other reasons... nobody is going to understand any of this, moving on.

I can totally understand why people don't like superheroes like that. Even I found it annoying when reading through the New 52 and seeing Superman deck Flash, the fastest man alive. Though, in my mind, I justified it by saying that Flash simply underestimated him, but that's beside the point.

I don't know, I'm open to all kinds of superheroes... the ones who grow into their role and learn to become heroes, the ones who were born out of tragedy, the ones who are God-like and strong, the rebels who find laws and regulations trivial and a hindrance to their ability, etc. I love them all.

I enjoy the Burton Batmans because I like Burton but the best I believe have been Nolan/ Bale Batmans.  I enjoy a variety of re cartoons and Comics but the best Batman I think is the Nolan/ Bale series as the baddies were not super villains and such

I'm a huge fan of Nolan's as well. I'm in the minority that loves the TDK batsuit lol.
