Capt America should not be an anit-hero. He should not be small. He should not be mousy, meek, or soft.
I never said that he should be. And Stan is none of those things.
Any Capt America should be imposing in form and inspiring in action.
Imposing in form? Give him a big heavy 'MURICA suit. Inspiring in action? Just write him a badass one-liner or speech.
We already accepted a downsizing from the CaptAmerica we all know in Evans, and he did his best to bulk up...to go with Stan means dropping another couple sizes. Going from an extended dually turbo truck to a 4 cylinder sub compact truck.
Did his best? Dude, the guy is freaking RIPPED. That's not doing his best, that's passing all expectations. And once again, Stan can BULK UP too. Easily, in fact.
Stan can get ripped, and looks fit and in serious shape...for a little guy, a light weight or welter weight, not even a middle weight...not the light heavy weight we have currently, not the heavy weight we have in the comics..
A suit adds a couple of pounds for one thing. For another, nobody looks exactly like the comic book heroes they portray. In comic books, people have muscles clearly etched, shaded, and outlined for all to see (through a suit no less). That isn't reality, and it never has been. So why worry?
going with Stan means going with a fit average guy...and that does not in any means speak "super serum" to me. Stan could pull off Spider Man all day long, but not Capt America...no...no...no.
HE DOESN'T HAVE SUPER SOLDIER SERUM. And therefore he does not need to be
as ripped as Evans.
nothing else needs to said to be said! All has been stated right here right now and I for one agree 1000 percent!
Thank you.
