That isn't something I've worked on as of yet. I'm always open to new ideas though. You could send me something you have in mind and I could give it a shot.

Maybe full scale DL-44/Jedi blasters? That would be sick for sure. Like make the color options to where you can have any combo you want. Say a brown grip, black body, black or silver barrel. Or just something completely unique and cool.

This was something that crossed my mind, too. Not that I am in a position to buy such an item right now (bought too many toys recently as it is), but out of curiosity, could a blaster be made? Would it be too big of an item? More importantly, would Shapeways allow it? It would not surprise me if a company did not want to be associated with making anything that looked like a gun.

Again, just asking for curiosity sake.

That is correct, Shapeways will not allow full size gun models. I have seen keychains but I believe that is the limit. There are a couple people that have modeled select parts and they have done a great job from what I've seen. Weapons are not something I intend to get into because of the restrictions around it.

Hypothetically if someone were to create this it would have to be printed in parts and then assembled to keep the cost down and detail intact.

What about just a barrel upgrade piece that someone could put on an airsoft Broomhandle Mauser? That's not a full gun and it shouldn't be harder to produce than a blade plug.

I'm gonna need a blade plug at some point. Got me a D-Ring clip from Amazon coming in for my belt I'll be putting together myself. Still have a D-Ring from a prop build I used and I put that on my Overlord so. Which plugs did you say would go well with the Overlord? I forget. Sorry. Bad memory. x.x

Yeah, I agree that it shouldn't be hard. I would just need the dimensions of the barrel tip to fit it.

It ultimately comes down to personal preference. I believe I have added a few more styles since we last talked about it, so you have more to choose from! Whatever you decide I'm sure will look great on it.

Hey magik. I have not because the sandstone would be too brittle to hold up in constant use and may even break when tightening the retention screw. There is a full color plastic that Shapeways is currently testing, but it is only available to designers at the moment and does not have good initial results. If they can iron out the problems with the full color plastic there may be an option for that in my shop in the future on a per request basis. As of right now, unfortunately, it will not work.

*Pricing Changes for Three Major Material Categories*

Today, Shapeways has rolled out a major change for the way they calculate the price of materials for 3D-prints. I am very pleased to say that this has impacted my shop in most cases for the better! You will see major price reductions in some cases, making my models more affordable than ever. Unfortunately some things did have to go up in price because of this change, but nothing substantial.

Here are the material groups affected:

• Strong and Flexible Plastics (standard, polished, and died)
• Metallic Plastic (standard and polished)
• Stainless Steel (all finishes)

Almost all the items in the shop are affected by this, which is awesome!  

This means that all the prices have changed for models that are offered to be printed in any of these materials. I have just gone through and updated the prices to reflect this change. I would rather make the reduction in my markup to follow these changes than keep the difference for myself so that more people can enjoy the products I offer. So, this is good news for any of you that have held off purchasing something because of price.

Some prices of products in the Full Color category have also been altered to fall more in line with the changes in other materials (where possible).

Some examples of price reductions are as follows: Blade plugs - 10-15% reduction in prices, Saber accessories - 10-40% reduction in prices,
Belt buckles - 30-50% reduction in prices, and Props - 30-50% reduction in prices

As you can see, THIS IS MASSIVE...

I might get a set of 4 capsules and a blade plug finally. =] If I have any left over after doing some saber purchases anyway.
