Hey everybody random question about the Bane saber everyone loves so much. I'll start off with saying i'm rather new to the entire saber community as a whole, i've always had a few force fx's laying under my bed collecting dust, but its only been recently that i purchased an Ultrasaber and started to really delve into the community. Anyways back to the saber, what is it about it that contributes to it's status? Is it just the plain fact it's a beast? Or is there an awesome piece of history behind it that i'm unaware of due to me being new? Everyone i've heard talking about it always says that the Bane is in an entire league of it's own, i'm just a tad curious as to what makes it such a legend. Any thoughts?

well the saber is a pretty beastly dueling saber and iconic like the overlord since ultra did only a small run of them a long time ago so they were quite rare for a long time and sought after by many, but they are now massed produced for all to enjoy. Ah okay, thanks for clearing that up. I figured it would have something to do with being the lightsaber of someone as imposing as Darth Bane, but I wasn't aware that it was at one time a limited run, it is without a doubt quite a beast, it's quickly clawing it's way to the top of my to get list.  |

Well... there is a Large Amount of Fan Love for Darth Bane as a character (This Contributes to the Fame On It's Own)  Not to mention the fact that the Saber Looks Absolutely BAD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!  And for a long time, was only available to a rare few, who acted fast enough, and had the VERY LARGE AMOUNT of dough to spend on this Beauty  ......... But Now That It Is So Very Much Cheaper!!! (THANK YOU ULTRA ) It Has Become Even More Wide Spread, Increasing It's Fame By Leaps and Bounds |

The Bane is indeed a cool saber. I have looked at it for a while, considering adding it to my collection - maybe a Dark Violet one with a heavy grade blade! It would make for a great two handed saber, perfect for Diem So.

Awesome stuff, thanks for all the info guys. I've been telling myself time and time again that a Liberator comes first but ever since i really started looking into the Bane it has definitely been calling out to me. It indeed has quite a presence! |

a dark catalyst would look really cool with those colors. it seems a weapon an assassin would carry rather than the shock. |

I think the Dark Violet fits the Bane perfectly! It looks just as good with the Pyrestone too! |
