Author Topic: I'm having a few issues with the Obsidian Launcher/Soundboard. Need Help!  (Read 3945 times)

I just got my very first lightsaber from the guys at Ultrasabers today and I am more than impressed with the way it looks and functions. I went and downloaded the launcher and hooked up my saber to my computer, but when I did this, i received an error message reading "Runtime error '53': file not found 'C:\Program Files (x86)\obsidianusb\UpdLED.bmp"

Did I do something wrong during installation or is there something up with my soundboard? And what is this file I'm supposedly missing? I have the Initiate V3 with sound lightsaber. I'm extremely new to all of this so any and all help would be more than appreciated. (This top section has already been answered.)

Now I'm having issues with trying to get the V3 launcher... Sorry for all the noobiness, I just need to know where/what I'm doing wrong.

I downloaded the 38-some-odd MB V3 launcher but when i go to extract the files it says the folder is empty. Is there something I'm missing?

Thanks for any and all advice/help. It is greatly appreciated.

What version of the launcher do you use? It sounds like the old 2.2.2 version, but you need the newest 3.1.4 for your saber. Otherwise you risk damaging your soundboard!

Yeah its the 2.2.2 version..... I did find the latest version of the launcher but when I downloaded it, it said the zip folder was empty. I assume i have to uninstall all of the 2.2.2 stuff first right? I'm just a little stuck.

Maybe it's a browser problem - it marks the (actually partial) download as "complete" whereas it's not, resulting in that error. Did you already try to use a third-party Download Manager? These might solve your problem.

And yes, you have to uninstall all versions first and then install the newest version first. After that you can install older versions - 2.2.2 is still popular because of the LSU converter that can convert sound files into the Obsidian soundboard file format. Useful if you want to make your own saber soundfont...
